Hi, my name is Hildah, I am a dedicated and experienced Couples Counsellor and Supervisor. I help couples get to the root of their issues, uncovering underlying emotions and improving communication with each other.

I have a background in Couple's Therapy, Imago Therapy, Person Centred Counselling, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Art Therapy (ART), Brief Therapies, Trauma Therapy, Bereavement Counselling, and Drugs and Alcohol Therapy.

With over a decade of hands-on experience as an Integrative Counsellor and a remarkable 24-year tenure as a Registered General Nurse, I possess a unique blend of skills to effectively address your needs. My exceptional communication abilities allow me to understand your individual requirements, enabling me to craft tailored treatment and therapy plans that deliver results.

Imago therapy

Imago Therapy is based on the theory that feelings you experienced in your childhood relationships are bound to come up in your adult relationships. 

By understanding how negative experiences and feelings from childhood carry over into adult relationships, you can better understand your reactions to your partner, and vice versa, and develop the skills and empathy necessary to transform your individual self and your relationship. 

The goal of Imago Therapy is to help couples stop blaming, criticizing, and negatively reacting to their partners and, instead, become more understanding and empathetic.
