Hello my name is Ruthie. I currently offer counselling via Zoom. My speciality is working with couples using a combination of therapy and relationship coaching. Married to my business partner for over 40 years I have great confidence in the process!

I love working with people from every culture, race and religion around the world. Human beings have so much more in common than the differences we have. I am passionate about bringing couples back into connectivity, love and passion. I create a safe environment for you to work in. No shame, no blame, no criticism - rather  learning new and *healthful ways for you to communicate and being able to express your pain and hurt in a way that your partner will be able to relate to and hear. 

I also work with individuals using EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), ACT and coaching. I support individuals who are going through a rough patch or want to clear stuff from their past which is weighing them down, as well as supporting people after a loss including a divorce. Recently I have completed extra training in Trauma therapy.

I see my role as bringing couples back into connectivity, love and passion wherever possible.  On the few occasions where this may be impossible we will work to make things smoother and easier for a couple who are insistent on separation and especially their children.

I totally believe in the concept of marriage/partnership and that it can work if the couple are willing to learn new tools and do the work. This includes situations even where there have been affairs (emotional or physical)and porn addicition. The Imago method which I use is about 'no shame, no blame and no criticism' rather to express our feelings of hurt and pain and to be heard, to be validated  and to learn how to listen to the other.

Sometimes one of the parties will want or need a session on their own due to their own 'stuff' that they have bought into the marriage and I will also work with individuals in these cases if it will benefit the couple. No two couples have identical issues and I make a bespoke programme for each couple.
