Sharon | Relationship Counselling

Welcome...my name is Sharon and I am a fully qualified Counsellor specialising in couples counselling.  Relationship counselling is not limited to just husbands, wives and partners but can also be helpful to resolve conflict and difficult relationships between family members, friends and work colleagues. 

In relationship counselling, I work from a position that I have 3 clients; each of you as individuals and the relationship itself as a unique entity.  I will work with you both together to explore thoughts, feelings and behaviours for you as individuals and how these might be impacting your relationship. In all relationships, each individual brings their own unique life experiences, upbringing, value and belief systems...it's no wonder (with all these differences) that sometimes relationships can struggle.

Together we can learn what works well in your relationship and what has ‘fallen’ into the gap between you. 

Relationship counselling takes courage and honesty in order to achieve a better outcome for you both. It is often helpful to have an image of how you would like things to ‘look’ in the future so that we have a goal to work towards.   

Effective communication and learning how to really listen to each other can be so valuable and this is one of the core components of relationship counselling.  We can learn how to better communicate using creative techniques and exploring those feelings that we often feel aren’t ‘ok’ to say out loud.
