Relationship Counselling Barkingside

Hi, name is Aaron and I am an integrative therapist and therapeutic coach registered with the BACP. 

Couples counselling is a form a therapy for couples whether married, living together, short or long term relationships. Being in a relationship can bring happiness, comfort and security. However, there may be situations where difficulties arise which can then grow and fester into bigger issues. At these points, it can be difficult for either partner to communicate.

The focus of therapy using the Emotionally Focussed Therapy approach (EFT) is to assist you to be able to descalate and learning to reconnect with each other again. This is achieved this by enabling  both partners to recognise the negative cycle of interaction that can occur and work to pause and then create a positive cycle of interaction with each other.

I can provide a safe and confidential environment where both individuals can talk openly and share their thoughts, feelings, expectations and fears about their relationship. I will ensure space and time is given for each individual whilst encouraging a level of respect within sessions. Whether the decision is to stay together or to end it and walk away, I will be there to support both individuals in whatever decision is the right one for them.    

I am based in Barkingside (East London/Essex border) one day a week.
