Despite the misunderstandings, and choices that may have pushed you apart, you  are open to knowing and loving each other, 'warts 'n' all'. You may be in a romantic relationship.  You may be looking to repair and strengthen a relationship with a sibling, friend or your adult child. I am happy to discuss your needs, and available to offer support with your relationship goals.  

 

I'm Karen, and I identify as neurodivergent. Whilst I work with couples who identify as neurotypical, increasingly, I am finding that couples come to me where one or both individuals suspects that they may also be neurodivergent. If desired, we will make space to explore your identity and the needs that may become evident as a result.

Imago Therapy has a lovely structure which can be adapted, allowing individuals to communicate their perspectives in a safe way. This type of communication ultimately supports re-connection, and renewed love.

Besides romantic couples, Imago dialoguing can be used by any two people who are working on their communication, e.g. parent and adult child, siblings, friends or colleagues; because all relationships can benefit from safe communication.

 

I work online and I use Zoom as my online platform. Our work will be a mixture of weekly and fortnightly sessions, including between session activities. Ideally, you will both be in the same room, but this is not essential. 

The majority of the work takes place between the two of you, whilst I facilitate by moving between the roles of therapist and coach. The more you practice Imago dialoguing, between sessions, the more you will benefit.
