Online Imago Relationship Therapy

Married life may no longer feel fulfilling, and once friendly banter may now feel like deliberate attacks. There may be days when you feel as if you have had enough, but then you remember how things used to be, and you stay, because you have hope. If you are ready for a change, and committed to making your hopes into a reality, I am willing and able to support you and your partner.

I'm Karen, and I identify as neurodivergent, following a fairly recent assessment. Increasingly, I am finding that couples come to me where one or both individuals suspects that they may also be neurodivergent. If desired, we will always make space to explore your identity and the needs that may become evident as a result.

Imago Therapy has a lovely structure which can be adapted and learnt, allowing partners to communicate their perspectives in a safe way. This type of communication ultimately enables re-connection, renewed love, and intimacy.

Besides romantic couples, Imago dialoguing can be used by any two people who are working on their communication, e.g. parent and adult child, siblings, friends or colleagues; because all relationships can benefit from safe communication.

If you would like to know more or book an appointment, please send me a message.

Online therapy

I use Zoom as my online platform.

Our work will be a mixture of weekly and fortnightly sessions, including between session activities.

Ideally, you will both be in the same room, but this is not essential.

The majority of the work takes place between the two of you, I function more as a coach.

The more you practice Imago dialoguing, between sessions, the more you will benefit.

Imago UK - Certified Imago Relationship Therapist

I specialise in working with romantic couples who are committed to saving their their relationship.  I also work with couples who are seeking pre-marriage counselling.

It is common to find that one person struggles or chooses not to share their thinking or feelings, whilst the other needs to communicate in order to feel secure.  The dialoguing process provides an opportunity for balance, so that each person has the space and time to hear what is being shared and also to be heard.

There is no set number of sessions, we will work together until you both feel ready to leave.

Most common issues I support people with:

  • Mutual misunderstansings
  • Feeling disconnected and lonely
  • Struggling to know or articulate thoughts and feelings
  • Hurtful communication
  • Affairs
