Couples Counselling Barry

Welcome, I'm Tahreen, As a qualified counsellor, I understand that beginning therapy as a couple can feel overwhelming, but please be reassured that we will progress at a pace that feels comfortable for both of you. My approach is grounded in a non-hierarchical framework, where both partners are equally heard and respected. We will focus on creating an environment of safety, trust, and open communication, with a strong emphasis on choice, collaboration, and empowerment.

I provide couples counseling in a safe, relaxed, and non-judgmental environment, where both partners can feel heard and supported as they work toward their shared goals. From the beginning of my career, I’ve been passionate about helping couples navigate challenges such as communication issues, relationship dynamics, anxiety, depression, and trauma. I utilize various therapeutic approaches, including CBT, humanistic, and existential therapies, to tailor our sessions to your unique relationship needs.

My aim is to help both of you grow individually and as a couple, believing that every partnership has the potential to thrive and evolve. I would be honored to walk alongside you as you strengthen your bond and move toward a healthier, more fulfilling relationship.

Each session is tailored to the needs of both partners, working at a pace that is comfortable for both of you. Together, we will focus on practical solutions and creating a space where you can openly explore any issues, with the goal of deepening your understanding of each other and building a stronger connection.

I understand that each relationship is unique, which is why I offer an initial session for us to connect and determine if we are the right fit to begin this journey together. I recognize that starting couples therapy can feel daunting, but rest assured, I will work with you both at a pace that feels right, always keeping your shared goals in mind.

I am caring, compassionate, and genuinely interested in understanding each partner’s perspective. As an integrative psychotherapist with a highly sensitive nature, I specialize in working with couples who may struggle with issues like communication breakdowns, self-esteem concerns, and sensitivity within the relationship.

If you would like to know more or book an appointment, please send me a message.

Online therapy

I offer online couples counseling sessions via doxy.me, available to clients across the UK. These sessions typically last 50 minutes and are designed to create a safe, mindful space where both partners can explore relationship challenges, improve communication, develop coping strategies, and practice skill-building exercises together.

I work within a non-hierarchical framework, emphasizing safety, trust, choice, collaboration, empowerment, and cultural consideration. My approach is caring and compassionate, with a deep focus on truly listening to each partner’s unique experience. I respect the individuality of both partners, creating a space where you can both explore your goals and work towards a stronger, more fulfilling relationship.

If you're feeling stuck or struggling with issues such as communication breakdowns, anger, sadness, anxiety, or low self-esteem within your relationship, and you feel we could work together, please get in touch. Together, we can explore how to help both of you understand that your feelings matter, that both of you are worthy, and that prioritizing each other’s emotional needs can bring a deeper sense of connection and understanding to your partnership.
