Paula | Affordable Couple Therapist - BACP Accredited

Introduction

"Healing Relationships, One Conversation at a Time."

Are you and your partner feeling disconnected, stuck in cycles of conflict, or unsure how to move forward together? I offer a supportive and non-judgmental space where couples can safely explore their challenges, improve communication, and rebuild trust.

I am an experienced counsellor offering specialist Couple Therapy for Depression (CTFD). I trained with Tavistock Relationships, the UK’s leading centre for couple therapy, and I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor with over 10 years of experience, mainly within NHS settings.

Through couples therapy, you can rediscover joy, rebuild connection, and create a more fulfilling, emotionally intimate relationship, while avoiding the painful road towards separation or divorce.

I work with couples who are struggling with relationship difficulties, communication problems or where one or both partners are experiencing low mood, stress or depression.

Online therapy

Your first session is a chance for us to explore your relationship story so far, understand the challenges you’re facing, and clarify what you hope to achieve. I’ll ask questions to help each partner express their feelings and needs. Together, we’ll identify patterns that may be causing tension or distance.

Online couple therapy sessions take place via Microsoft Teams, offering a secure, confidential, and convenient way for partners to access therapy together from the comfort of their own home or another private space.

Sessions last 50 minutes and are structured in much the same way as face-to-face couple therapy, providing a safe and supportive environment where both partners can explore thoughts, feelings, and relationship experiences. The focus is on helping each person feel heard, while also working together to understand patterns within the relationship and strengthen communication.

All that is needed is a stable internet connection and a private, quiet space where both partners feel comfortable speaking openly. Where possible, it is helpful for couples to sit together on the same device.

Online couple therapy can offer greater flexibility and accessibility, making it easier to attend sessions around work, family, or other commitments, while still supporting the development of a strong and collaborative therapeutic relationship.
