Anna | Couples psychotherapist, psychosexual and addiction therapist
Introduction
Helping couples with relationship difficulties, sexual worries, addictive patterns or issues such as separation, divorce, co-parenting, fertility issues, cultural differences or the challenges of building a life in the UK when it's not your first home.
Feeling stuck in the same arguments, growing apart, or struggling to connect?
You may find yourselves caught in repeating patterns, conflict that escalates quickly, conversations that go nowhere, or a sense of distance that’s hard to shift.
For some couples, difficulties around intimacy, sex, or addiction begin to affect the relationship more deeply, creating secrecy, resentment, or a breakdown in trust.
There can also be added pressure when navigating major life changes, getting married, trying for a family, having children, relocating to the UK, adjusting to a new environment, or just trying to stay connected when everything else around you feels unsettled.
Whatever brings you here, something between you isn’t working in the way it once did.
I work with couples dealing with:
- Communication breakdowns and recurring conflict
- Emotional distance and disconnection
- Sexual and intimacy difficulties, including mismatched desire
- The impact of addiction (sex, porn, substances) on the relationship
- Infidelity, secrecy, and rebuilding trust
- Separation, divorce, and co-parenting
My approach is straightforward, non-judgmental, and focused on understanding the patterns you’re both part of.
Rather than taking sides, I help you step back and make sense of the dynamic that’s developed between you.
Together, we’ll:
- Identify the cycles that keep you stuck
- Understand the emotional drivers behind conflict, withdrawal, or avoidance
- Create space for more open and honest communication
- Address intimacy and sexual concerns with greater clarity and less shame
- Work toward either repairing the relationship or separating more constructively
Couples I work with often:
- Communicate with less escalation and more understanding
- Feel more connected and able to express what they need
- Rebuild trust after difficult or painful experiences
- Navigate separation and co-parenting with greater stability and respect
If you’re looking to understand what’s happening between you - and find a way forward - this work can help.
