Andrea | Trainee Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist
Introduction
Hello I'm Andrea, I am a trainee psychosexual counsellor, I qualified as a therapist over 14 years ago and have consistently been working with individuals and couples since then. I have offered counselling through various establishments including; charities, education establishments, local authorities and many more organisations. I am currently extending my skills and abilities by completing further training in sex therapy.
As a trainee in contemporary Psychosexual Relationship Therapy. I offer a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space to explore concerns around sex, intimacy, relationships, and sexual wellbeing. I am a gender affirmative and sex positive therapist, whom focuses upon providing a safe, non judgemental space, where individuals and couples can work towards their sexual relationship aims.
Alongside my psychosexual training, I bring both professional and lived experience of neurodiversity. I understand how Autism, ADHD, sensory differences, etc as well as how feeling “different” can shape experiences of intimacy, communication, desire, and relationships. I aim to offer an affirming space where neurodivergent clients feel understood without needing to mask or over-explain.
Within Sex Therapy I work with individuals and couples experiencing difficulties such as:
Low sexual desire
Erectile difficulties
Pain during sex
Orgasm concerns
Sexual anxiety or shame
Mismatched libido
Relationship and intimacy challenges
Impact of medical conditions on sexuality
Exploring sexual identity
My approach is integrative and evidence-based, drawing on various models.
As a trainee, I work under regular clinical supervision and adhere to professional ethical guidelines. This ensures safe, reflective, and high-quality practice.
I offer reduced-fee sessions for sex therapy, while completing my clinical training.
I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) as well as a trainee member of College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT) and I fully adhere to their ethical framework for good practice.
Feel free to give me a call to talk further and raise any questions you may have. I offer a free 15 minute telephone consultation.
Online therapy
I offer online therapy. Often online therapy can be helpful for those that find being in person too challenging or logistically impossible.I utilise Zoom for the therapy sessions as well as offering sessions via the telephone.
All therapy sessions are offered in whatever form fits best for you.
Any questions, just reach out and ask.
