Relationship Counselling Enfield

My name is Zak and I am a qualified and experienced integrative psychotherapist, counsellor and mindfulness practitioner, I am also the founder of a growing private practice in north London.

Relationships can be our greatest source of joy, and as many of us discover, they can also bring us much heartache and pain. The challenges of relationships can be an opportunity to get to know ourselves and our partners and provide great insight into our needs, wants and desires.

Boredom, sexual problems, infidelity, jealousy, anger and conflict – there are as many issues as there are couples to face them. When working with a couple In couples therapy, I do not see each individual as my client, rather the relationship is my client, in other words I represent the relationship.

My initial focus is on creating a safe and contained space for each person to be able to speak and express themselves. I am always seeking to explore, identify and challenge any behaviours or defence mechanisms that obstructs, inhibits or blocks the relationship from growing, developing and working In a loving, healthy and harmonious way.

I usually draw attention to the interplay or dynamic process between a couple, listening and commenting not from a judgemental position, but from an impartial perspective. This helps to facilitate awareness within the relationship and clarify any conflicts or misunderstandings.

My aim, is to help couples become aware of the underlying root(s) and the solution(s) to their issues, problems and difficulties, helping them to remove the continuous pattern of plastering over the symptoms.

If you are experiencing relationship difficulties and think that couples counselling may help please send me a message.
