Relationship Counselling Ashton-Under-Lyne

---

I am an experienced couples/relationship counsellor. I am aware that a lot of issues in a relationship can generally be due to a lack of communication and I can provide you with the support, tools and techniques that you need to improve your relationship.  I can help with issues such as, cheating, affairs, jealousy, insecurity, and family conflict.

I am a professionally qualified and experienced Practitioner who is trained in Person-Centred counselling and also Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (also known as CBT). I offer a compassionate, non-judgemental service, allowing you to share your experiences and explore your issues in a confidential, safe environment.

Beginning therapy can be a big step towards being the healthiest version of yourself and living the best life possible. No matter what challenges you may be facing, through therapy you can change self-destructive behaviours and habits, resolve painful feelings, improve your relationships and more.

I am a genuine, caring person who offers a warm approach and a great deal of empathy.  Together we will build a therapeutic relationship where you feel comfortable and safe enough to share your experiences and difficulties with me.

We will look at what your own unique needs are, either as an individual or a couple and through our counselling sessions, you will be provided with the opportunity to gain the tools you may need to move towards change.

Online therapy

I offer online therapy via Zoom.  You will need to ensure that you have a good wifi connection and find a confidential space in which you are able to feel relaxed to be able to open up and share your thoughts and feelings.

At the first session we will complete a short 'Therapeutic Assessment' to help me understand some of your past history, how you are currently feeling and how I can work with you going forward to best support you.

Specialisations

Having qualified as a couples/relationships counsellor several years ago, I am now very experienced in this area and I'm very passionate about my work with couples.

I feel that the most common problem which presents is 'Communication' which can affect a relationship in a lot of different ways.

I have several tools/techniques that I use to help couples navigate their way through the process to help them enjoy a more fulfilling relationship.

I do not expect a couple to sign up for a set amount of sessions, as all couples have their own unique relationship and it also depends on how much work the couple is prepared to put in, to get the results.

Most common issues I support people with:

  • Communication problems
  • Affairs and cheating
  • Family problems - I am also trained in counselling for families
  • Anxiety for one partner in the relationship
  • Coping after Separation/Divorce

Fees

My fee for an individual is £40 per session.

My fee for a couple is £60 per session.

My fee for a family meeting is £70 per session.

It has been invaluable

We have decided to leave it for the moment. We have been getting on great so don't think it would be a good use of everyone's time. Thanks for all of your help it has been invaluable. We'll be in touch if we need help again in the future.

We didn't feel the need for a further appointment as we feel we've progressed well during the sessions and currently have no burning issues.
